Journal Response Model

A journal is something related to anything we're discussing in class.  Students write a short response to the topic.

Example from the novel, Loser: What is Zinkoff's best quality; support your response with evidence from the novel.

Model journal response:

"Zinkoff's best quality is his happiness with life.  He embraces everything about family, friends and school.  The narrator tells us early in the story that Zinkoff always smiles and sees something new and exciting about each day."
